My career
I have worked in the sport and fitness industry since 1996, teaching group exercise, one to one personal training, tutoring and assessing fitness qualifications and promoting health and fitness in the community.
In 2008 after graduating from university with a Sport Science Honors degree I worked as a sport scientist for Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club.
Then later in 2012 I founded Storm Fitness Academy Ltd which offers national accredited fitness courses for others that want to build a similar successful career within the fitness industry.
My mental health
I suffered from an episode of severe depression many years ago which had a significant impact on my personality and my relationships at the time. The thought of it coming back really frightens me so I purposely engage in behaviours that help reduce the risk of my depression coming back. It has now been seven years since I last suffered from depression and exercise has been a life saver for me plus some other great techniques that I share with all of my clients during their 12-week programme.

I am also currently working towards a Masters in Strength and Conditioning where I have researched optimal fitness assessment and training prescription for the tactical athlete and the impact exercise has on mental health. My research and my own experience has helped me develop a great system for development of physical and mental health for men over 35.
